Story Idea: How Robots Are Making Women’s Healthcare More Human – Interview with UK Surgeon

I offer a story that I believe your audience would find both timely and compelling. I’m Dr Inna Sokolova, a UK-based Consultant Gynaecologist and robotic surgeon specialising in minimally invasive hysterectomies and pelvic pain management.
For years, I’ve witnessed how women’s reproductive pain is too often dismissed or inadequately treated. But technology is changing that—and not in the way people might expect.
Contrary to fears that robots are “dehumanising” healthcare, I’ve found that robotic-assisted surgery actually restores humanity to women’s medicine:
✅ Shorter recovery times
✅ Fewer complications
✅ More dignified care
✅ Better long-term outcomes for issues like endometriosis and fibroids
This is the core of my TEDx talk application—and the upcoming book I’m writing: The Silent Diagnosis: Why Women’s Pain Is Ignored – And The Science That Is Finally Listening.
I’d love to offer you:
- An interview
- Commentary for a feature or opinion piece
- Or even contribute a guest article, if that’s of interest
This is more than a story about surgical tools—it’s a shift in mindset about how we treat women.
Thank you for considering.
